About Sunrise River Press

Sunrise River Press began publishing books by releasing several award winning titles for the medical professional markets in the early 1990s. In 2007, we redirected our efforts to publishing for the consumer markets with an emphasis on self-help, weight loss, nutrition, diet, food and recipes, with an additional focus on family health, fitness and specific diseases such as cancer, anorexia, Alzheimer's, autism and depression.

We are continually searching for compelling self-help manuscripts written by experts on these important subjects, especially as they relate to the baby boomer generation.

Sunrise River Press is located just north of Minneapolis/ St. Paul in North Branch, Minnesota.

Manuscript Submissions Guidelines

We are always looking for new book proposals and welcome your inquiry.

Sunrise River Press is an award-winning publisher of groundbreaking health and medical resources. We are continually searching for compelling manuscripts written by experts that deal with a wide range of self-help subjects including weight loss, nutrition, diet, food and recipes, family health, fitness and specific diseases such as cancer, anorexia, Alzheimer's, autism and depression - especially as they relate to the baby boomer generation.

Your submission should be sent to submissions@sunriseriverpress and include:

- A cover letter with a brief description (2-3 paragraphs) of the project
- An author bio or resume specifying credentials and publication credits, if any
- A description of the target audience
- A complete table of contents, plus estimated length of the manuscript in words and pages
- Two or three sample chapters
- A description of the target audience
- A page or paragraph on what makes your book unique; what new or breakthrough technique do you use to treat this problem
- A list of at least 3-4 competing or comparable titles and how your book differs. Include titles, authors, pub dates, and publisher of competing titles

Please do not send the entire manuscript with your initial submission. We will need roughly 3-4 weeks to evaluate your proposal.
