Do you have a great idea for a consumer book on an important health
topic? Sunrise River Press is currently seeking book proposals from health/
medical writers or experts who are interested in authoring consumer-

trade paperbacks on healthcare, fitness, and nutrition topics.
About Sunrise River Press:
Sunrise River Press is an award-winning publisher and part of a three-
company publishing house with more than 33 years in specialty book
publishing.
Since the early 1990s, Sunrise River Press has published books exclusively
for
the professional healthcare market. The company is now transitioning its
healthcare publishing efforts to the serious end of the consumer market,
focusing on subjects such as nutrition, genetics, immune system
maintenance, wellness, and fitness.
Sunrise River Press holds all of its publications to the highest quality
standards, as is evidenced by its receipt of two American Journal of
Nursing Book of the Year awards (for the School Nurse’s Source
Book
of Individualized Health Care Plans Volume 1 in 1994 and for Volume
2
of the same in 1999). Sunrise River Press was also awarded a Pediatric
Nursing Book of the Year award in 1995 for Infants and Children
with
Prenatal Alcohol and Drug Exposure: A Guide to Identification and
Intervention.
Our publishing house currently publishes close to 30 consumer titles per
calendar year, primarily through our companies CarTech
(www.cartechbooks.com) and Specialty Press (www.specialtypress.com),
whose publishing efforts focus on automotive and aviation subjects,
respectively. Our books consistently receive national and international
publicity in enthusiast magazines, and they are available through all major
national and regional bookstores including Barnes & Noble, Borders, B.
Dalton, Walden Books, and of course through web-based retailers such as
Amazon.com.
